A fairly rare sighting of this Goldcrest feeding in the garden. This is the smallest bird in the UK, smaller than the Wren.

Caught in the act! A Heron takes a sizeable Tench for lunch! Captured at Pennington Country Park.

Captured Black Headed Gulls (winter plumage) in flight above the lake at Yarrow Valley Country Park.

The Common Snipe. When I photographed this there was about a hundred of them all congregated in one place on the lake.

The humble little Wren, the small bird with a big voice. It has a lovely song.

Was lucky enough to get a shot of this Great Spotted Woodpecker on a walk. They can be really quite difficult to photograph.

Captured this beautiful Little Egret flying through the trees at Pennington Flash Country Park. I rate this place as one of the premier places to photograph wildlife and also to enjoy a great walk around the lake and down the canal.
